Saw the dermatologist yesterday, and she found a mole that looked bad, so she did a biopsy. It's probably fine, as this happens every year or two & only once did the tests show results bad enough that she had to do a full excision, but I'll know for sure when they call with the results sometime within the next two weeks. Strangely enough, the "Mostly Pudding and Ice Cream" diet has resulted in me losing 3 pounds in a week and a half. I think there are a lot of women in our culture who would be happy to hear about this effective diet regimen. Perhaps I should write a self-help book ( Read more... )

I forgot to mention that, from what the periodontist said, it sounds like the prep for the gum surgeries & the surgeries themselves will be less difficult than the cataract surgeries, but the recovery periods will be much more painful and restrictive.

After each gum surgery, I will have a week during which I cannot:
