Thanks for the thoughtful responses to my last post! I was really just musing, not asking for advice. I tend to do the generic "Happy Holidays" with strangers. I resist saying Merry Christmas except on the day itself, and even then, I tend to stick to Giftmas (or Atheist Kids Get Presents Day). This is my second vegetarian Thanksgiving, and my first Thanksgiving away from family. It was too expensive for me to fly home this year ($400 for a four-day trip.)
