I went to church on Sunday for the first time in a very long time and I LOVED it!! I was absolutely blown away by Eagle Brook Church. I was especially pleased with the kid's program. The rooms the kids were in were loaded with fun things for them to do and the secure check-in and check-out was really impressive. The kids were each assigned a number ( Read more... )

We went to Faw-Doe-Rosa over the weekend. We had never been there before. It's like a huge petting zoo. They had tons of animals. Deer, goats, bunnies, chickens, ponies, peacocks, llamas, elk, beaver, opossums, raccoons, geese, a woodchuck, a grizzly bear, a lynx, a timber wolf, and a bobcat. I think I forgot a few. The kids had fun making acorns yesterday. I had them take 2 different brown crayons and color some sheets of paper. Then they got to rip them up and glue them onto acorns that I drew for them.

Got a lot done today. Scrubbed the kitchen floor, dusted/vacuumed the living room, cleaned the bathroom, put up all the fall/halloween decorations, 4 loads of laundry, pulled out all the winter clothes and packed up all the summer clothes/shoes, hung up some of the pictures we never put back up after painting and had Jared help me put up the 2 new ( Read more... )

The night before last we had some terrible storms. It was dead clam outside right after we put the kids to bed. A few minutes later there was like 70 mph winds and rain pelting the side of the house! We went to my uncle John's cabin in Hayward from the 8th to the 13th. Rob, Barb, Brooke, Dylan & my mom came too. We had lots of fun. Jack and Brooke played in the lake a lot. It was nice that it was hot enough that the water was actually warm. Keira only played in the water twice. She liked jumping to us from the dock and sitting and  splashing ( Read more... )
