Yesterday's post made me want to cook for my daughter - it is how I say "I love you" when words won't do. So last night, I made risotto, her favourite. Yay for a break in the weather! Even your friendly neighbourhood Hottentot was sweltering, can't imagine how the Nordic types were feeling.

Having had the ammonite pic beautifully-framed  in time for khoi-wife's b'day, I'm now tackling a couple other art pieces, one of which will be a self portrait, which should prove fun.

Have belatedly found, via the Dope, a new artist (well, new for me) who does wonderful surrealism, a leeeetle bit like Michael Sowa, but with less whimsy. His(?) name is Jacek Yerka , which sounds like some kind of gnome or goblin, really, but anyway...check it out.
