I finally blocked this project.  Instead of knitting it shawl-size, it is more of a wide scarf and is definitely Christmas gift worthy.

It is all but finished, all I have to do is weave in the ends.  It didn't end up blocking as smoothly as I would have liked and the finished product is smaller than I anticipated, but will work as a small throw to lay over one's lap.  Hopefully my grandma will like it.

I had my second-round interview yesterday and I think it went well, but I'm worried that I didn't do enough to sell myself while talking to the hiring manager.  I'm just trying not to get my hopes up too much but I'd love to have this job.  They'll be making the decision by the end of next week, so please keep your fingers crossed for me!

Seriously, y'all....we have tomatoes coming out of our ears.  I planted two tomato plants and after a bit of a slow start, they are making up for lost time.  I have Bill foisting tomatoes off on any of his co-workers that even look in his direction, we cannot keep up with the production!

So....my new computer.  As much as it completely sucked to shell out money that I don't have right now, I luff my new toy!  It's so pretty and fast and the screen is wider, which I love.  Windows Vista takes some getting used to, though.  Yesterday, I was about to have a heart attack when I couldn't figure out how to center text in a word document ( Read more... )

Not a lot happening in my little world....just school and job hunting and stuff.  I had an interview last week, which seemed to go well and I have another scheduled for this Thursday.

The dog has adjusted to having me home most of the day and sleeping on the floor.  It is going to be quite the shock for him when I do finally get a job.
