I've actually been doing some knitting lately.  More accurately, I've been doing some finishing of unfinished projects knitting.  Sock number one of my first attempt at Pomatomus from knitty.com.  Originally, these were going to be for me, but I'm going to make them part of my christmas knitting and they are destined for one of my SILs.

I forgot to mention the other thing I wanted to post about, the pork stew I made yesterday.

Seriously, y'all....we have tomatoes coming out of our ears.  I planted two tomato plants and after a bit of a slow start, they are making up for lost time.  I have Bill foisting tomatoes off on any of his co-workers that even look in his direction, we cannot keep up with the production!

I found this in the NY Times Online...saving for later use.  Theoretically, I like rice pudding but too often it is an overly bland much that just isn't worth eating.  This one doesn't sound that way at all.
