21 finally
I haven't updated in forever....I know. I'll make updates as they happened over the past 10 or so days.
My birthday was incredible. Like seriously the best 21st b-day a girl could ask for and actually get. I had 22 or 23 drinks. The last one is still up for speculation. But I did like I said I would and pretty much drank all day. The 1st thing I did in the morning was walk across the street to the shady convenient store and decided on a beer. Some sketchy guy with hair growing from strange places in awesome amounts tells me "You can never go wrong with Bud Light". I stare at the cooler a little longer, turn to him and say "Ya know, I think you're right". A six pack od bud light bottles--my first legal purchase. And a lotto ticket for the hell of it. The line was like 8 people long and I got quite a few comments. "Damn girl, you start early. Shoot, I can only do that during Mardi Gras". "yeah, well, I just turned 21, so I figured I had to." Amen. The guy even carded me at the counter...a rarity in NOLA. I knew it was going to be a good day from there. I had a few before lunch at a wine celler with my parents, then a few more with my sister as I tooled around and opened gifts, then a few more as I got ready (I had finished the buds and switched to rum and diet coke). Then more as I ate my cake. Then free shots at Nacho Mamma's (for the whole table!) Plus margaritas and beer. Then to Bruno's for darts. Then to seduce Robbie, but not really. Then???? Who knows. THe best day ever pretty much. And thanks to all my family and friends and my hight tollerence that made it such a success.
I got some pretty sweet gifts too, I'm not gunna lie. From shot glass ice cubes to handcuffs to a blanket to pass out on (I mean, snuggle with). Plus money. And jewelry. And handcuffs.
I love being 21 too. I think the fact I had to wait so long for it made me appreciate it more. I buy alchy when i can, even if I don't really need it. It's just the principle.
Sadly it is rush at school right now and I cannot got to off campus bars b-c it's against da rules. Sadness. Casino Queen anyone?
