Actually, I prefer the long habit. So much more fun to hike it up and reveal the stockings-and-garter action. The appeal is the contrast between the chaste-nun exterior and the slut-o-rama concealed beneath.

Yeah, I prefer the real Mother McCoy, myself. Don't know about all that garter and stocking action under the habit; But there is this one Robert Williams painting I saw years ago, in which Jesus was standing in a classic pose, with crown of thorns, loincloth, garter, fishnets, and fuck-me pumps.
