It's been an active weekend!  Saturday morning we had a lie in which was lovely as we got back quite late from dinner with friends on Friday. In the afternoon Mr Cee dropped me at my belly dance teacher's house and then went to pick up Eldest Cee from the station as he came up for a visit on the train. It's been a beautiful sunny day, but chillier than it looks outside (around 13C/55F). I did sit outside for a little while this afternoon because all the cats were sprawled on the deck as it gets warm in the sunshine. It's gloriously sunny today, but not too hot (23C/73F) which is just how I like it. Mr Cee has had to go to Edinburgh for the day for a meeting. This meant he got up at 4.15 and a taxi arrived to take him to the airport at 4.45. It was really light then, so although he was very quiet, I was awake by the time he left, so I read my book for a bit ( Read more... )

Yesterday I was supposed to be going to the Chesea Physic Garden with a couple of friends but we didn't get there in the end! I walked down to the station and met my friends and while we were waiting for the train, I started to feel very hot which resulted in me fainting as I went to step onto the train! It was a very hot long weekend and I'm rather glad the weather is set to break and cool down a little from tomorrow. Today is likely to be hot and I'm off to glass class in a moment. I'm taking the new electric car as I need to get used to driving it, and it's free at the moment a the garage charged it up fully so we have 155 free electricity miles ( Read more... )

It's got warmer as the week has neared the weekend and unusually it's actually sunny and rather hot in the SE of London today. I pulled a few weeds out of the flower beds this morning, but it got too hot and I had a friend round for coffee this morning so I didn't get very far. Yesterday was torrential rain, and a high of a mere 5C/41F. Today it's bright sunshine and although the wind is still a bit cold, it's so much warmer than yesterday at 15C/59F.
