An outing.... and some recommendations....

Today's forecast 13C/55F. It was raining again when I woke up but by the time I left the house to head to London at 9am it was sunny. I went to my old haunt where I used to work in Islington to the Business Design Centre for the Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair. I used to go regularly to the fair pre-C19, and it was always full of all kinds of stalls.

This year it was quite disappointing - my favourite stall for my Christmas puddings wasn't there, and there were far fewer interesting craft stalls. Fortunately my favourite card maker (Penny Lindop Designs) was there with her lovely hand-drawn and finished cards and I found a few other little Christmassy things to justify going.  I really like the little heart-shaped decorations I bought from Broadlands Pottery and Tollhouse Country Crafts had some lovely things too.

I had a look around my old working neighbourhood which has changed quite a bit (it has been eight years!) and got back around lunchtime. Youngest Cee and GF(P) bought me a kitchen gadget for my birthday and we've been trying it out. Crimpit is a nifty little gadget which is really easy to use and makes homemade toaster snacks with any kind of filling you fancy. Today we had brie with cranberry and chilli chutney in wholemeal thins (YUM!).

This afternoon I've been chilling out (the cats have been very cuddly!), and sorting out my Christmas puddings online. Later we are going on a head-torch walk with our Nordic walking group which should be fun.  That will probably be it for today as I've already walked about 4 miles, so that will add to the tally!

In the meantime today's question is: 9. What’s a snack item you have difficulty eating in moderation?
Anything savoury and crispy - if you put a bowl of crisps or snacks in front of me I will pick at them until they are all gone which is a very bad idea for my waistline....
