Catching up...

This is our Nordic walking group on our head-torch walk Wednesday evening (walking away from the camera - you can see some of us have head torches with red lights at the back. It was a good walk and the almost full moon was rather spectacular.  It was very muddy after all the rain though, but we enjoyed it even though it was a bit slippery.

Thursday was mostly taken up with making stained glass things. I finished the eight Christmas holly ornaments my hairdresser ordered and two little angels for another staff member at the salon. I'll drop them off later this morning and I might walk there if the rain holds off. I also played around with making some butterflies to solder onto outdoor solar lanterns as gifts for friends this year. The afternoon was spent doing some housework as the carpets and floors were dirty from the rain and there were far too many leaves brought in by kitties to play with. In the evening we went to our tough Pilates class and had a good workout.

Today I don't have much planned - I need to clean out the bird feeders as the rain has got into some of them and I don't want the food to rot. Tonight Mr Cee and I are going to a special themed evening at the London Transport Museum. The adult-only theme is Electricity and there will be cocktails, hands-on experiments to try and other fun activities. We're not sure what to expect, but it sounds like it will be interesting.

Just time to catch up with the meme:
10. You're an extraterrestrial scout sent to assess if it's worth making contact with Earthlings. What are your main observations and recommendations?
Population: Mostly harmless. They are messing up the planet and they see differences between themselves which means they don't know how to get along. They need to realise they are all the same species. The recent global pandemic engendered some worldwide empathy, but this is waning.  There are areas which are overdeveloped that appear to have control of most of the global resources and don't want to share.
Planet: Struggling because of the over-reliance humans put on the remains of fossilised prehistoric animals and plants. This resource is coming to an end, but there are several areas (they call Countries or Nations) where they fail to see that using renewable resources such as wind and solar energy may save it.
Recommendations: At this rate they'll probably destroy the planet and themselves without some guidance.
11. Today is Remembrance Day/Veterans Day. Do you know anyone, or have a distant relative, who died in a war?
I don't know of anyone - I think there are a couple of distant relatives, but not in any part of the family we have ever kept in touch with.
