'Tis Tuesday

Yesterday we went to see Black Adam - it was good fun! It's probably the best DC-based film we've seen (other than Superman, we've found most of the adaptations rather tedious). A well-paced story seemed to be the key and there were some rather good fight scenes and Dwayne Johnson (who clearly knows his limitations) gets the central character just right. We enjoyed it!

Today we have yet another rainy day 14C/57F. I got up and made some sourdough dough and set it to prove and after some breakfast, I spent the morning in the glass studio making some holly Christmas ornaments.  After a quick break for lunch I finished them off. I just need to check them over and they will be ready to take round to my hairdresser who asked for them.

While I was in the glass studio I finished watching the last few of the series Sapphire and Steel (David McCallum and Joanna Lumley).  There were 34 episodes over four years (1979-82). I remember watching them at the time - they hold up quite well, although they are very slow paced which I'm sure wouldn't be the case if they remade them these days! It has been rather nice to see DC in his 40s and JL in her 30s (although neither of them looks it!) and the last episode's cliff-hanger is rather frustrating.

Mr Cee has popped out to pick up some new glasses and some groceries and I'm now baking the four loaves of bread (three will be frozen for a later date). This evening we are off to our easier Pilates class - apparently, we are using weights tonight.

Today's question: 8. Of all the famous artifacts/exhibits you've seen in museums or art galleries, which was the most disappointing when you saw it in real life?
I don't think I've been disappointed, but I've been surprised at the size of some things such as The Girl With the Pearl Earring, or Van Gogh's Sunflowers which were both much smaller than I thought they would be.
