A sunny Monday!

Yesterday we had a lazy day because (a) it was Sunday and (b) the gate at the side of our house kept banging and woke us up a couple of times in the night. The gate has a sliding bolt to hold it in place, but the wind overnight was so gusty that the gate had been rattling back and forth so the bolt had worked loose. The gusty wind then kept it banging against the gate post and as the gate is next to our bedroom we had a very disturbed night. So annoying.

We did very little during the day - I had a long phone call catch up with a friend which was nice, and we made black bean and beetroot burgers for lunch which were yummy. The rest of the day we watched a few episodes of The Book of Boba Fett which we thought was rather good and fitted in well with The Mandalorian etc.

Today started with frost but is soon warmed up and the sun has been shining (9C/48F). I decided to go to our nearest large town to get some bits and pieces I can't get locally and jumped on a bus as it's free for me. I had a good wander around - it wasn't crowded, but most people aren't bothering with masks now. I'm still wearing mine.

On the way back there was a bit of drama as a lorry had crashed into the railway bridge near my local station blocking the road. It's not the first time that's happened unfortunately - but it meant I had to get off one stop before the usual one as the bus had to go on diversion to avoid the closed road. No drama for me and the driver was fine - just an idiot....

I'm not sure what I'll do for the rest of the day although I really should do some housework.... *grumps*

I have catch up questions:
6. What's the best Wi-Fi name you've seen?
I haven't seen any good ones round here. Everyone has rather boring ones with numbers and stuff, which I suppose is quite a good idea as I have no idea which one belongs to which house.

7. What was the last funny video you watched?
It was a little cockatiel 'hiding' behind a can and bobbing up saying "peek-a-boo" and then ducking down again. It also did a rising whistle as it came up and a lowering one as it went down. Of course whoever owned it and was filming was in hysterics. It was really sweet as the bird clearly enjoyed amusing it's owner and making them laugh :).  I found it! It's here.

The rest of the questions are here.
