Wednesday musings

Yesterday was a grey day and in the morning I went to Pilates where I got told I was finding some of the exercises too easy so I was pushed to do the hard versions which were HARD! Some of the exercises I find really easy and others are really challenging for me, but I can see that the flexibility in my back especially is improving a lot so that's good.  I always feel good after the lessons.

The rest of the morning was spend sitting and double checking the links and everything on the website and editing some of the content for the bellydance mentor so it could go live at lunchtime. The tickets went on sale at 1pm and by the end of the day a lot of the full passes for the weekend online dance festival had sold so she was very happy. My invoice for October will pay for my Apple watch and more, so I'm also happy :)

The rest of the day was spent trying to sort out our main TV which has something wrong with it. People onscreen are looking more and more weird as the green balance seems to have gone. Mr Cee is not pleased as it's just over the 3 year guarantee period (of course) so he's been onto the manufacturer who told us to do a couple of things which we did and it's not made any difference. So it looks like we might have to pay for a repair. Having looked it up online apparently this type of TV tends to have this issue with the screen - I wish we'd known that before we bought it!

Today's forecast is 16C/61F sunny intervals
It's very blustery out there at the moment. Today I have four sourdough loaves to bake which have been proving overnight, and I need to get outside into my stained glass studio as I have something to mend for a friend (and I need to get some Christmas stuff sorted out!!). This evening we're off on a Nordic walk which will be good to blow the cobwebs away - I've been sitting for too long over the last few days!  I think we might have to take our head torches as it's getting dark earlier and the walk is from 4.45-5.45pm.

in the meantime I have questions:

26. Do you struggle with dry skin in the winter?
I don't struggle, but I always have dry skin on my hands, and I fail to regularly use handcream. I am trying to recitify that recently as all the additional Covid handwashing I've neen doing has dried them out even more.  I do use moisturiser on my face everyday and my skin tends to be more dry than anything else.

27. Have you ever gotten angry at an employee and complained to the manager?
I've been frustrated by customer service employees more than once and asked to speak to their manager - usually when I've been on the phone with a query about something. I don't think it's fair to get angry with the employee - sometimes they just don't have the authority or knowledge to help out and a manager/supervisor is the best option. Mostly that's been a wise decision. I do always try and comment about someone who has given good service - nowadays that means filling in one of those post conversation questionnaires. I think that's important too.

28. Do you add unnecessary letters to the end of words?
29. What was the last thing you used your phone for, besides calling/texting?
30. Do you always check the prices of things when you buy groceries?31. How many nights per week do you cook dinner at home vs. going out to eat?
