Day 283 since 1st lockdown.... Wednesday

Dec 30, 2020 16:53

I got all excited yesterday as the numbers of cases of the dreaded Covid19 had gone down a bit in my area, but today they are higher than ever (6580 cases). *sigh*  We will remain in full lockdown and it's likely that most school/colleges nearby will open more slowly than originally planned. I think that's a good idea as this new variant seems to be spreading amongst children/young people. My hair appointment has been cancelled (again) as hairdressers will remain closed.

Yesterday was a bit of a non-day. Mr Cee was back 'at work', and I made a few things in the glass studio which was nice. It was cold, so we stayed inside mostly and caught up with the end of The Mandalorian in the evening. One thing that has been quite noticeable is that there have been very few new TV programme made for Christmas this year. Instead there are a LOT of repeated programmes which is fine as many of them we didn't watch the first time round. I am pleased that we have subscribed to some streaming services though as there's usually something to watch if we want to.

Today started with a job for the bellydance mentor which was fiddly, but easy. I also managed to get to use my new super zoom lens Mr Cee got me for Christmas and capture a visitor to the garden. Not the best photo, but it hadn't been light very long. I'll try and catch the greater spotted woodpecker again if I get the chance. (it pops into the garden quite often and lives nearby as we hear it in the woodland a short distance away).

I spent the rest of the day making some more stained glass stuff until Mr Cee finished work at 2.30. I had a bit of a headache after that and freezing feet (my studio is nice and warm with the heater out there, but the floor is concrete, so my feet get cold) so we went out for a brisk walk once he'd finished work before the sun went down. It was cold, but we both felt better for getting out of the house.  He has finished work for 2020 now, and has tomorrow off. Not that we are planning on doing much, but it means he has a long weekend again which will be nice.

I have questions to answer:

29 Would you rather your life have a rewind button or a pause button?Pause I think as there have been moments I'd like to savour for longer, but haven't had the chance. Sometimes it's that perfect sunset, or glorious sunrise, or seeing a bird on the feeder that I'd like to study for a bit longer.

30 If you could change one bad habit you have, what would it be?I'm a bit untidy. I'd OK in the main living rooms, but I'm lazy about putting clean clothes away in my bedroom. I always seem to have a pile of clean clothes waiting to be put away. It doesn't help that I REALLY need to clear out my wardrobe properly as the drawers are untidy and I can't find stuff. There are also still some summer clothes in there, that I really should sort out and give to charity, but nothing is open at the moment, so I don't have the incentive to do it */excuses*.
