Day 283 since 1st lockdown.... Wednesday

Dec 30, 2020 16:53

I got all excited yesterday as the numbers of cases of the dreaded Covid19 had gone down a bit in my area, but today they are higher than ever (6580 cases). *sigh*  We will remain in full lockdown and it's likely that most school/colleges nearby will open more slowly than originally planned. I think that's a good idea as this new variant seems to ( Read more... )

Hard to get cheerful at the moment, isn't it? The news is awful, and there's both the inconvenience (I am nearly out of shampoo I like and the company website is down dammit) and the worry about an escalating crisis.

Websites being down are the bane of my life at the moment. Goodreads has gone all flakey so I can’t add books I’ve read - a small thing but annoying.

Have you tried the konmari method of folding your clothes? I use for my underwear. It makes that one drawer tidy. I will say I haven’t done the other drawers. I have managed to commit to do that one drawer. Small steps.

I haven’t, but I’ve always wanted to. I really need to declutter my clothes. I have many I don’t wear and they need to move on!

I used to get a tiny woodpecker on the tree in front of the house. You could sit on the front porch and hear him pecking away at the bark.

They are such sweet birds aren’t they! We hear this one in the nearby wood regularly so it’s nice to see her in the garden.

Oh, I love birds and seeing your Spotted Woodpecker just made my dad. We get the Red-bellied and the Downy. I get so excited when they visit, even though they're quite common.

I had a very hard time deciding between the pause and rewind buttons in the meme. Pause would be lovely.

It is lovely to see the more unusual birds in the garden. I’m going to try and set my camera up so I can catch more of them as they love the feeders at the moment.

I've never seen a woodpecker in our garden though I would love to. One of our neighbours saw a buzzard circling the area really high up and I was very envious of him for spotting that.

Our numbers are really high too. Apart from our daily walks and weekly trip to the local Tesco Express for small things for us and our neighbour we've reverted back to acting as we did in the first lockdown.

The woodpecker comes occasionally and my camera was nearby. I really want to catch the nuthatch but it’s so fast!

I don’t mind being indoors but I really miss going out with friends :(
