Thursday, March 20th:

I chatted with Alison, Tammy, Cassy, and Marylin (their mother) in their kitchen. I haven't seen them since Alison's wedding, and they looked the same—happy, edgily well-dressed—except that Alison wore her normal stylings instead of the white gown.

Wednesday, December 12th:

The creature looked like a reddish-pink blob of glass supported by five multi-jointed legs. A transparent pink field surrounded it, slowly changing shape, like a pear-shaped bubble in slow-motion. ( Shapes and Colors )

I played a strategic game on a 4x4 chessboard. The board started empty, and each player took turns placing a chess piece until the board was covered. I dreamt this morning that I had just returned to Earth. There was nothing but oil rigs and refineries as far as I could see in all directions, doing the industrial work of the Daleks that now ruled the planet. A nearby monitor displayed gouts of fire erupting from a huge furnace on the moon, gradually shifting its orbit.
