Monday, May 18th:

Everything unfolded like a teledrama, scenes changing before anything could be resolved. When a scene ended, though, its characters walked off the "set," and they felt gray, sometimes wandering ghostlike into the next scene. A Hmong kid named Xong had signed up to join my Mythic Africa campaign as a Monk, but hadn't been able to attend any of the games yet. I still had his first draft of the character sheet, but he'd never played before. I worried he wouldn't be able to update it on his own to join a few levels higher.
