Shannon and Erik's apartment in Pretoria had a single bathroom bigger than the entire ground floor of my house. The urinals were horizontal instead of vertical, and built into the tops of solid tables. That didn't make any sense to me, and I hoped it wasn't like that everywhere in South Africa.
