I've got most of my small items moved, basically as much as I could fit into my car in three trips. Planning to rent a van or truck this weekend or the next to get my big items. When Mike and Amy bought their house earlier this month, I offered to move in and help with expenses if they needed it. At first, they said "That might be good. We'll let you know." Friday evening and all of Saturday were spent moving Mike and Amy in to their new house. While most of us moved boxes and furniture from apartment to uhaul to house, their parents spent time cleaning around the house: raking leaves, clearing the gutters and sweeping off the back porch mostly. I"m making progress on fitting most of a 2 bedroom apartment in to my bedroom here. Some things are staying in a living room / den (36" TV, DVDs, DVD player and video game consoles mostly) but my computer desk is in my bedroom, along with my book shelves, books, and comics ( Read more... )

Mike and David arrived in Portland around 7:30 (Pacific) and we worked until just before midnight to get the truck mostly filled.
