I"m making progress on fitting most of a 2 bedroom apartment in to my bedroom here. Some things are staying in a living room / den (36" TV, DVDs, DVD player and video game consoles mostly) but my computer desk is in my bedroom, along with my book shelves, books, and comics.
Every time I clear a space (a corner of the desk, a shelf on a book shelf) so it's free of boxes, I immediately fill it with stuff unpacked from boxes. It feels very much like a zero sum game.
During the day, my bed is filled with random things as I unpack and move things about; by the end of the night it's clear again for sleeping.
I know progress is being made, however, because my pile of boxes in the garage keeps getting smaller.
I've also noticed a curious quirk in my mental map of the area I grew up in. While I'm driving around in Lakewood, Wheat Ridge and Golden (mostly jefferson county) I want to flip North and South in my head. Driving Southbound I'll think I'm heading "up" on my mental map and I'm not sure why. I didn't have the problem in Portland, or in other cities in Colorado; Fort Collins is to the North and Colorado Springs is to the South, etc. Not sure where/how I learned it like that, but I'm trying to fix it so driving South is "down."
100 Pushups program resumes Monday, for a Mon/Wed/Fri schedule.
