Gaming Store Ideas
After this idea with diziara and duaiwe I've been thinking more and more about how the store would work. Obviously we'd want some sort of barcode reader system (as fast as I am at ten key, I hated keying in UPCs at Evergreen Drug) plus that would allow for automated inventory systems.
I hadn't really given it much thought though, until Diziara brought up using :CueCats for scanners ...
A quick search on SourceForge yielded this that would seem ideal for my application ..
Possible downside is that it talks to PHP and MySQL, both of which I've had little experience in ... but I can't be that hard to learn. I already know a lot of TSQL syntax and what not ...
Now I wants to start playing with it... but sadly I have to work and do other things first ...
