It is bad when having a lunar eclipse on the winter solstice is about as good an explanation for why our test equipment is working again as any other.

I'm really enjoying the Starlight Celebration in FF14. The music is lovely, the decorations are cute, and it's just fun to wander around and watch the snow fall. It's simple, and yet I know I'm going to be sad when it goes away. Still haven't gotten a hat yet, though I have extra tunics and boots (and tunic and boot crafting materials).

Shopping status: presents are 99% bought (I need to pick up a gift card tonight), cards are all bought, but most of the wrapping and signing needs to be done. I'm hoping it doesn't snow too much since we drive around to visit people, although since everyone is local it's not too difficult to do things a day or two later. It's just somewhat disappointing to not be able to do Christmas things on Christmas. I think my desire to have Christmas on Christmas is as legitimate as other people's desire to see white stuff on the ground. ;p (Besides, it's been so cold lately that the ~2 inches that fell almost a week ago are still around in a lot of places. That should count.)
