Every so often, I like to check the weather in various places that I've been. My most recent checks have been for Breckenridge, Colorado, site of our July 2010 trip. It does not fail. As soon as the temperatures start to drop, I get all cranky and start having trouble getting out of bed in the morning. I feel the need to eat things even though I'm not hungry. Today I went back to work for what was the first time in almost three weeks. I'd briefly gone in on January 26, the day before my surgery, and that was the last time I was in. I'd been planning to go back on Monday, but then we had SNOWPOCALYPSE and that scrapped those plans. SNOWPOCALYPSE II meant I didn't even bother trying to go in on Tuesday ( Read more... )

I'm going to stop reading the weather forecasts. They're too depressing. They're now saying 10 to 20 inches. That's on top of everything from last week, which was a good 2-3 feet. So we survived the Great Blizzard of 2010 pretty well. No power outages or other interruptions. Poor Greg has had to do all of the digging out since I'm still under restrictions from the surgery. We can, in theory, get my car out, although the road's still messy. (It could probably use another plowing, but I'm not sure that's going to happen ( Read more... )
