So, I literally just got out of seeing this movie (10 of us pooled our money and rented a theatre for a private showing) and it's flawed (hoo-boy) but I enjoyed it as a hybrid horror movie and a re-envisioning of what the New Mutants could be. It's *so* much better than the trailers make it out to be.
Okay, as much as I like Scott and Hope as a couple -- I can't be the only person who thought that Paxton (Scott's ex wife's new husband) is looking for some "Peanut has two daddies" polyamory.
Saw X-Men: Age of Apocalypse today. Liked it quite a bit, but I can see why the average joe wouldn't get the significance of several things, and I can see why many fans would be disappointed by some of the changes made to canon

I'd love to read a story that spotwelds the Unisols from Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning into the MCU, or vice versa.
Basically, I'd like Cap & Bucky to somehow run into John and discover just exactly how fucking bad a super soldier program could've gotten, one that makes Hydra look kind and compassionate by comparison.
