I had the best "dumb nightmare" last night. Y'know, the nightmare that has you panicked at the time, but 5 seconds after you wake up, you are ROFL?

Somehow I had moved to LA (WTF?) and transferred to UCLA and registered for a bunch of grad level MPA classes so I could complete my degree.

There's going to be a lot of politicians at the Iowa State Fair today.

My husband, Ralph, suggests that such a gathering should be called a "Horror." Ex: Flock of Seagulls, Parliament of Ravens, Pride of Lions, Bubble of Muffies, Horror of Politicians.

So, I'm reading Fussell's 1983 classic, Class. And, though parts of it are no longer quite true, (and Fussell can be full of himself) I'm still LOLing at something on every page.

On pg 61, in the chapter on clothing, he treats us to his thoughts on "High Prole" Ronald Reagan.
