I'm 43 years young, I think.

(Backstory: I've discovered that when I have my sunglasses on, I'm perceived as being much younger than I actually am because you can't see the little crowsfeet around my eyes. The technicolor hair helps.)

Yesterday, I purchased my first pair of old lady reading glasses because the eyeballs get tired after about 45 minutes of reading most books these days. (I was diagnosed at my annual eye exam earlier this year.) I viewed the purchase as a rite of passage. It's official, I can now peer over my lenses at those gosh darn kids on my lawn!

Then, walking down the street to work, sunglasses on, I was hit on by an underclassman majoring in Physics who chatted me up about my major and then asked for my phone number.

I refrained from adding, "And I'm probably old enough to be your mother," to "Sorry, I'm married."

I'm still LOLing about the whole what are the chances of these two things happening on the same day.
