Final ante natal class last night, and it was, as ever, a hoot. The session was all about "after the baby's born" and we started off doing Agree/Disagree/Don't know to a few statements, ranging from "I will give my baby a dummy" (Don't know); through "picking up my baby too often will spoil it" (Disagree, with a brief discussion on what constitutes ( Read more... )

I was expecting to do these earlier but Calder midwives leave the classes till quite late - the earliest start is around 30 weeks. Our group seemed to have due dates ranging from early October to early November. I suppose there's good cause to leave the classes late, you've a better chance of remembering the content later on ( Read more... )

And this pregnancy lark is getting more and more real.

Tonight we start ante-natal classes. I'm 33.5 weeks, so it seems a bit late, but I suspect if they'd started earlier I'd've forgotten everything by the time the Bug arrives.

And that's not far off, either. Crikey!
