Today's the eve of the eve of Chuseok. We're leaving tomorrow morning to visit Jin's family in Switchblade Sister City. My principal gave me a box of apples, and the kindergarten class made songpyeon. I forgot something very important in my last post.

Along with the urban/rural question, you'll be asked what grade you'd like to teach. As I said I teach elementary school. The other posts are middle and high school with the two often getting lumped together in one building. What follows is based on my experiences and those of my friends.

There’s this one house with a big garden I pass on my way to and from work. Every now and then I see the old couple that lives there. The old woman in particular has a way of sneaking up on me.
