Just read the first two Chrestomanci books by Diana Wynne Jones. (Have this cold that's been going round the internet and can barely think straight, let alone breathe, but that's beside the point. *g*)
As of now, one thing: eeeee the magic. They have what the Dresden Files and Jno. Strange were both missing - proper magic, green and living, that doesn't come out of a tin. ;D *squees quietly so as not to hurt head*
