Today is cloudy and it's getting a little colder here now. Right now I am eating breakfast with tea and in an hour G is coming to fix the plumbing in the house. I have a kitchen sink that drips and a toilet that leaks and a bathroom sink that won't drain. The shower somewhere leaks whenever it is used and drips down into the garage. So I did find one book that I really, really liked. It's titled The Assassin's Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke. It's a YA adventure/love story.

I drove through Utah this weekend and stopped at Silver Lake near Salt Lake City. It's beautiful. It was there that I found out just out of shape I am. But to be fair to myself, a lot of it is from my cough which I've had for coming up on two years in December. I also got sunburned on my shoulders and only got one mosquito bit but it's a doozy ( Read more... ) -

So last night I went back to Jazz in the Park and it was the best one yet. Tom Scott was featured. He has won the Grammy three times. He made his Alto Sax talk. He was so awesome. One of the best concerts there that I attended so far.

So last night I went to a free jazz in the park concert. Yes, it is once again that time of year. Time to have a picnic on the government center lawn and lay back and listen to jazz under the stars. Last night featured grammy winner Dee Dee Bridgewater and backed up by the Las Vegas Academy jazz band who are high school students and fantastic. ( Read more... ) -

I have lost my mp3 player. If I don't find it I am going to cry. I've been trying to remember all the songs on it. There are a lot. Anyway, here's one of them. Fiddler on the Roof instrumental.
I've also just finished Stephen White's last book Line of Fire. It's amazing! It's the next to last for this series and that made me sad too.
