This weekend I've been at Picocon (ICSF's annual convention). I used to go every year, but my attendance has been a bit more sporadic in recent years, partly because I've often been busy with SJA duties. Not much to report from this week (other than today); I've been keeping busy at work. I've booked my next Microsoft exam (SQL Server, 70-229) for Thursday, so now I need to get a move on and read the books. First up, my PC is now running properly again, which is good. Short version: there was a compatibility problem between the sound card and one of the RAM channels, but installing the latest sound card drivers fixed that. So, no more random freezing, huzzah! It even plays "the mp3 ... of DOOM!" so there wasn't a problem with that file after all ( Read more... )
