I've noticed more and more seasonal lighting displays.  (Alas, the PC's won't say "Christmas lights" anymore).

Many more than last year, which leads to this thought:

That's pretty much the Michigan winter weather experience.

A week ago, we had so much snow that offices were closed, people were stranded, everything was on hold.

Christmas Eve, we had some snow/rain, which meant that intersections were flooded.

It's snowing today, and our office closed.

This is in and of itself a rare occurrence.  Usually, they stay open but give everyone a "free" couple of hours to get in, or close early.
