So I went to St. Petersburg for a week to participate in Model UN. This meant that I would be in a simulation of how the UN worked. I found it extremely interesting and a lot of fun. So I know that this entry is super late, but my habit of procrastination was brought to new heights. For our Remembrance day trip the school went to Bruges, Ypres (along with Flanders Fields) , Vimy and Beaumont- Hammel. The school as a whole stayed in a hotel at Bruges in the old town. Ok so this must have been one of the weirdest Hallowe'ens in current memory. First off, us, as a school, celebrated it the weekend before Hallowe'en with something called a 'Monster Ball' and invaded downtown Neuchatel.  So I went to Krakow last weekend (actually we left on Thursday at 6:30 to catch a plane in Zurich) to see the city and the camps there.  So it was really weird not having Turkey (yes Turkey with a big T) this weekend and it was even more bizarre when they gave us pate as stuffing and no cranberry sauce.  So in order to get my NJC Diploma I have to complete something called "Defis". These are challenges to get us out around Switzerland and possibly Europe (if the ones we come up with are viable). So far we've done two.

The first one was to circle a cliff called 'Creux de Van' and there was a total of 28 switchbacks- 14 up and 14 down. In my opinion ( Read more... )
