Good Old Games has a great business model. They sell older PC games as downloads on your PC. The games have all DRM removed, so you're buying a game you loved in the past (or always wanted to play) for $6 to $10. You can always download again. DRM rears its ugly head again. Apparently every PC copy of Gears of War shut off on January 28th. I'd call that a defective product (especially if the license didn't state the cut off date), and I hope that EPIC gets hit with a class action suit that makes every game maker think before they put stupid "copy protection" features into their games ( Read more... )
