So we've seen Superman and Batman reach some level of understanding to give the mini-series closure, right?

But there's an epilogue, in the form of the editorial Perry is off to write.  And it's kind of an odd ending for the mini-series in my mind, but I can't quite parse it out.  So...I hand it over to you to tell me the meaning of it!

Ready for a litmus test?

When I've talked about the scans below with people, it's almost always a 50-50 response who they empathize more with and who they end up kind of growly at.  So I think it's a pretty well-balanced scene, but...oh boy, do Clark and Bruce really manage to mess Christmas up between the two of them.  Consider it a team effort.

So the main conceit of this mini-series is that Clark has to work in Gotham while Bruce works in Metropolis, which I have to say is a pretty awesome idea.

Bruce works especially well in Metropolis, I think, playing off Lois and Jimmy very nicely.  He also wears some earth-shatteringly amazing clothing.

I dreamed last night that I was on a cruise ship and Superman and Batman were there too--in costume--investigating a crime. They were walking around together talking about the crime scene and--for some reason--Superman was carrying a white puppy and Batman a black kitten. I don't know why people say Bronze Age comics weren't thoughtful. I've been reading some and they were thoughtful indeed! To wit:

Aunt Harriet (who lives at the Manor with the guys during the Bronze Age) has to have emergency surgery. So everyone goes to the hospital to...think about it.

I'm back from a not-very-relaxing trip to the States--not much writing got done, but I did manage to keep from falling too far behind on the flist.  Dealing with recuperating in-laws and a very neurotic shih tzu were not conducive to creative endeavors!
