I don't think I've ever come out of a rehearsal feeling like I'd accomplished so much. Sarah Phillips is amazing. She came in to work with us today, just asking questions here and there, suggesting changes in blocking, pointing out bits of text from time to time, and by the end the scene felt almost completely right where it had been really awkward ( Read more... )

Rehearsal today did not go well. x__X No one seemed to remember anything, and my character shoes are in quite a state. My feet are not happy with me just now. The feeling of finishing a rehearsal is interesting. It's like bits of the character take a while to fade. I stand that little bit straighter, my consonants are clipped, my vowels broadened, and for a little while after everything I do is more purposeful. The way I think is different. Conclusions: Rhoda and Kenneth have a definite Electra complex sort of vibe going-- this being the cause of much of Christine's trouble with Rhoda. We have a workday for Lit on Tuesday and I won't be able to actually leave the building because it's pointless to walk home when I have to walk back for rehearsal by 2:30. *headdesk* I guess I get to hang around in the library all through fourth hour. Joy of joys.
