Does anyone else dislike the result of washing their jeans in Japanese washing machines? When I did a homestay in Japan for a few months in college, my host mother did my laundry for me and my pants became what I can only describe as "crunchy": stiff, crinkly, and rather cardboard-like. I'm having a hard time finding clothing - pants to be exact. It was never really an issue at home, since I'm only a size 12 (and a small one, at that). The Gap is the only foreign clothing store in my city, and only carries pants up to size 10. I cooould wear them, but would rather not.
