I get word-a-day emails from wordsmith dot org. This week's theme is "Words having many unrelated meanings." I don't read them every day, but I saw that today's word was 'trammel' ... and when a single word can evoke Sir Ian McKellen in your head, I suppose you'd best see what that word's about.

So. I told you about the pre-class assignment in the Latin 300 class last post. Did I think that sounded intense? All things considered, today was actually a productive day. I cleaned my house, paid some bills, talked to my mom, baked for fellowship meal at church tomorrow, and wrote three and a half pages of my Hamlet paper ( Read more... )

So, my first day of Winter Session: Shakespeare, was today. Winter Session at the University of Montana is three weeks, three hours a day, and for this class, five days per week. I like Shakespeare. A lot. So far though, I'm not expecting this class to be life-altering. The good news? It's only three weeks.
