Busy busy day. Work was work. Made our sales goal early.

Gas Price: $3.79/gallon

Icy cold and very windy again. Well pump froze, Mom had to call a repair. New belt and some other parts, plus thawing out the pump. *sighs* Heat bulb burnt out again.

Was woken up at 4:30 this morning. Water in the house wasn't going. It had been working just before I went to bed. Anyway, Dad and I checked out the pump-house. Water from the spigot, so the pump itself was working. One of the heat bulbs that keep the pipes from freezing was out. changed bulbs, and that didn't work. We'll have to see about getting the old well pipes to the scrap metal recyclers.

It's been chilly. Not freezing, but chilly.

Made up for the quiet night at the laundromat last night. Busy busy. Lots of drop offs being picked up and dropped off. Some customers and one washer went on the fritz.

We had the local well drilling company out to look at the pump. Two whacks with a hammer and it was pumping right again. Probably the check valve was stuck, but I don't know for sure. At least it wasn't pulling the pipe and rod out., that would be expensive. We're getting away with just a service call ( Read more... )
