Timing is ..... everything!
I knew things were going too well....
I try to get my weekly washing pile cleared Friday evening and Saturday morning. Whites, followed by blues/grey when on last night and are now mostly dry. The normal routine was interrupted as I needed to wash nappies. The washing machine made some unhappy noises during that load, the drum sounded unbalanced which can happen with the nappy wash. So I didn't think very much of it when I took wet nappies out of the machine this morning (they should have been damp but not wet). Then I put the next load in and only then realised that the drum isn't spinning ... at all!
Great ! the last thing I need this weekend of all weekend was the washing machine to break down!
Fraser, Richard and DeeDee are going to Mum's on Monday and staying 'til Wednesday. And I am going to be in Dartford for the same period of time.
I am trying to track down a local repair man to find out if the heap is worth fixing (it is ten years old), I left a message but at this rate I don't expect to hear from him now until Monday.
So I have at least 1 load of dry laundry and 1 wet load that I could really do with getting sorted out ... my only hope is a friend a couple of streets over, but she has 3 young kids and I may not get a "slot" in her machine at a weekend .....
