Saw Justice League and while it wasn’t as bad as DC’s previous outings it still wasn’t a good movie. While the movie had lots of problems the biggest problem I had was the way they retconned Superman’s narrative. Spider-Man: Homecoming- I loved it. I loved the focus on Peter and the trials and tribulations of being a high school student not only learning your way in the world but with superpowers and a sense of responsibility on top of that. Saw Wonder Woman and thought it was a really good movie. I liked the visuals and costumes (especially of the amazons’ island and WWI London) and the performances were really good. Saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and really enjoyed it. In fact, after taking some time to absorb it I think I’m in the minority by saying I liked it more than the first one. Some of the jokes went on a little long but I thought we got to go deeper into the characters and the villain in this was a bunch better than Ronan was in the first, more complex ( Read more... )

Logan was so wow I don't even know where to start. The scenery, the cinematography, the performances. Every scene was just so full of tension and potential even if it was just two people talking in a car or sitting at a table. Great dynamics between all the characters. I saw Lego Batman and loved it. So clever and amusing. Lots of shout outs to the long Batman history. Lots of love for Batman '66. Great cameos. The Justice League scene is especially cool...Zan and Jayna, Black Vulcan, Apache Chief, Wonderdog.
