It's a rather warm day in these parts. Carla has taken Stephen for a trip to the mall, as she wanted to walk around but in air conditioning (don't blame her). I did a little bit of weeding before I took Drake out for about twenty minutes. He doesn't do well either with such a thick, black, coat. Still, we had some exercise and play time. The mild weather we have this week is nice. It looks like it will be sticking around for a while, too. Having said that, I'd kill for a flash freeze. Anyone who owns a dog knows exactly what I'm referring to.

Was thinking today was a great day to take Drake out. The sun is shining and it's a refreshing morning. Alas, minus 26 with the windchill is a little cooler than I'd prefer to take my dog out and about in. Letting the dog out in the yard was enough for me. I immediately thought of Lewis Black:

Well, the tree was indeed acquired on Friday. Drake was very much interested in the water in the stand, but the tree itself he hasn't bothered too much. Sniffed around it last night once the decorations were on it. The rest of the house is a bit more festive as well and we're actually getting some snow finally. Today's the day for Drake, the poor pup. First dog I've ever had that I've had snipped. Vet says he did fine, and we can get him tomorrow.
