Fall From Grace
Our dear friend Korinite dropped by today, for some coffee. As is usually the case, he was cascaded with affection and excitement courtesy of Drake. Unfortunately, Drake's excitement was too much today and he did something he's never done: run in such a way as to wipe out the cord for my laptop.
It went off the table and on to the floor. It landed upright, but after a few moments I noticed it had frozen up. Long story short, it will only run in safe mode. Normal mode freezes up within a couple of minutes.

Well, a factor reset seems to have done the trick. I've now started the lengthy process of reinstalling all that I had. Well, probably not all. There was some dust in a few of the folders I'm sure. Still, things are beginning to reappear (didn't feel like backing up EVERYthing) and in due time all will be fine again.
