Got new issue of Mojo, which I really enjoyed. It had a big feature on 20 Post Punk Greats by Jon Savage which talked about tracks by the likes of Public Image Ltd., Siouxsie and the Banshees and Throbbing Gristle (+ the free CD was also post punk stuff). Forgot to mention there's a new issue of Classic Pop out + it's fantastic. Big Blondie feature w/Debbie Harry on the cover plus some great features on Stiff Records, political pop in the 80s and Keith Haring (artist who worked w/Grace Jones and Madonna among others). Finished reading Gary Lachman's book about the occult in the 60s, it was very interesting and covered lots of ground so strictly speaking, it wasn't just about the 60s as he had to go back to earlier periods to discuss the context of certain ideas/events. I was a bit naughty and treated myself to this Blondie thing they've got in the shops. They're doing a special edition of the new album with a magazine that contains interviews/reviews of all their albums plus other articles and loads of gorgeous photos. I've just finished reading a great book called The Heebie-Jeebies at CBGBs which looks at the Jewish roots of punk, specifically the New York scene. Mojo have brought out another collectors edition, this one is based around all the New Wave bands.
