In the afternoon of the Tuesday immediately after the relevant Saturday, my neighbor slipped a note under my door apologizing. Funny stuff. That one girl with whom I was going to have my date never apologized, by the way. Or, at least, hasn't yet.

The doors in my building are pretty thin, and when I'm in the hallway I can usually hear the music in the apartments of people whose doors are closed. They're thick enough that when I'm in my own apartment, with both the door of the person who is playing music and my own door between me and the music, I can't hear anything. I stopped by the ATM in the cafeteria on my way home from work today and Ann was in the cafeteria studying. I stopped over to say hi and she asked if I'd watch her stuff while she checked her voice mail since she'd been there for awhile and was expecting to hear from someone.
