Skin Game Reviews

I really enjoyed this story, I think because this is probably the first book in what felt like the last 3 were it wasn't all pits of despair and everything is bleak and hurting. Yay! Going to reread this so much. Yup.

Review for Thor: The Dark World

I loved it. Yet the reasons I loved it had almost nothing to do with the plot. It made me laugh, it made me gasp, it made me bounce in my seat from sheer glee. It made me delirious with excitement at getting more canon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

OMG, it took forever for the book to arrive. But it did. And I clutched it to my chest and called it Precious. Then I read it.

Review for ‘Even Hand’ by Jim Butcher, from 'Dark and Stormy Knights'.

Okay, normally I don’t review the short stories set in the Dresden Files ‘Verse, but considering the uniqueness of this story being written in Marcone’s perspective and my love of the character, well… I just had to write one.

So, I’ve been spending the last couple of days reading the newest Dresden Files book, titled ‘Changes’ and I just had to review it. Also can I just say that working at a bookstore makes it waiting for the release date of a new Dresden Files novel about ten times more torturous when you know that it is in the stockroom. So, I went to see ‘Sherlock Holmes’ again. The entire time my face was like this: =D

Sooo gooood. Soooo awesome.

While there weren’t many things from the actual mystery that I missed, I did miss some bits of Holmes/Watson interaction. I was probably laughing too hard, or mentally squeeing and incidentally blocked it out the first time.

So, it took about ten minutes into the audiobook for me to stop squeeing over hearing Zachary Quinto, and then I had to go back and to hear that bit again.

The movie was awesome. I was more than a little worried that it wouldn’t hold up to my expectations, since I’ve been dying to see it since that teasingly short trailer came out last year.

It blew my mind. OMG!
