Workout this morning - another 2100 yards - that's 6300 yards in four days!

After 1800 yards, one more fast 100 yard free - 1:22 my fastest yet since getting back in the pool a couple years ago.

It must be my cute new swimsuit - green flowers, low cut neckline.

I just have to forget that I could do the 100 under 1:00 twenty years ago.

I did a double work-out - 2100 yards at the 7:00 pm on Friday night, another 2100 yards this morning at 9:30 workout.

I was ready to call it a day after about 1600 this morning but I toughed it out - feels good.

Next workout 7:30 Monday am.

New peak rating - 1328 after Clayton.

The results from the Berkeley tournament are finally up. New rating 1320!

I guess I'm going to be playing at the bottom of Div.3 at Nationals.

I had considered playing Div. 4 and taking a chance at the money if my rating stayed under 1300, but not now

 Left the Bay Area to a beautiful sunrise yesterday morning. The row of palm trees that used to line the driveway to "Borax" Smith's mansion were silhouetted against a streak of pink, changing to a glowing orange as the sun came up just as we got onto the highway and headed north. The  trip to the recording studio was quite a thrill for the Audiophiles. Recording that day was Joe Satriani in one studio, and Journey in the other ... Zak came home a bit star-struck. Apparently a group has put together a non-profit to support young musicians ... they raise money through donations and then underwrite recording costs for talented ( Read more... )

 The First Annual  XP Morgan - Conrad is turning 30 - San Francisco Scrabble Slackers Saturday Invitational and Birthday Bash ( AKA "SpongeFest") was a smashing success, concluding with a surplus of good cheap Indian food on a rainy evening in the Mission District.

Most of the top of my foot is now blue, and the bottom side of my second toe is still dark purple ... but it is only a little tender and it is getting easier to walk ... couldn't push off the end of pool with both feet, but it doesn't hurt to swim.
