strokes strokes strokes strokes strokes!!!!
So the strokes (& the stills) were incredibly awesome on sunday, and now ranking as my favorite concert ever. We waited outside for like two hours to beat the crowd in, but it was so worth it to be up against the stage. Plus by the time doors opened the line was around two corners! Oh and while in line I won a something corporate cd from wbru, yay for me! Jen wanted the same cd too, so she let them write "wbru rocks!" in permanent black marker on her chest and take a picture. Too bad I got the last something corporate cd (I owe you a copy jen)...and good thing the massive amount of sweating during the concert easily removed the black marker :)
So during Reptilia, Julian jumped into the crowd right on top of us! The bouncers tried to pull him out, but he shoved them off so he could be pleasantly mauled, while singing, by everyone reaching out for a piece. After the song ended he allowed them to pull him out, except someone yoinked his shoe. With his clothes half off, and minus one shoe he stood on stage wanting it back while bouncers angrily shoved the people up front with flashlights trying to find it. Then someone threw up a random shoe, and apparently that was good enough for him. Oh and they turned on the disco ball at just the right moments during songs...orgasmic.
The set was nice'n long, with almost every song (hehe it rhymes), but by the end I was almost dead from dehydration. Guess that's to be expected when crammed up against a thousand people jumping/dancing. Anyways the concert expecience isn't complete unless you go home smelling like a sweaty ashtray.
