The green street signs say the names of the streets.  The brown signs above them state that it is a National Historic District.

I found this on the sidewalk near the middle school, which makes me assume that one of the students did it.  There is an underground tunnel for crossing the street (not the one in the picture) and it is often targeted for spray paint graffitti by the students and then someone is paid to come and paint over the graffitti.  I'm assuming that's what ( Read more... )

I found this poor fella in the road when I went for a walk in my neighborhood about a week ago.   Just around the corner from where I found the squished snake, I had previously seen two owls in a tree top and about another block away from that, I've seen a hawk atop a telephone pole.   I suspect that if a car had not killed the little snake, the  ( Read more... )

I'm finishing up the last 3 days of my job and the stress is going to kill me before I'm able to start the new "old" job!

Here are some more cell phone pics I took on a walk in my neighborhood last August.  I guess there won't be any new cell phone pics.  I just discovered a couple of days ago that my cell phone won't send pics to my email address anymore.  I have no idea why, but it won't.  Really bums me out!

My next door neighbor had the most awesome Christmas lights in her yard this year!  This pic does not begin to give proper glory to the display, but this is as good as any pic I'll get from my cell phone, standing on my front porch!  Oh, and by the way, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the few readers and friends I have here.
